Meta, BlackRock partner on $14 billion El Paso data center
Summary
Meta and BlackRock are building a $14B data-center campus in El Paso, with BlackRock-managed funds owning 80% and Meta 20%. It is another sign that hyperscaler AI capex remains very much alive.
Why it matters
The AI buildout is still a giant infrastructure story, and the beneficiaries are increasingly power, land, cooling, and networking suppliers. Large-scale compute commitments also make procurement and interconnect capacity strategic variables.
Founder/operator read
Hyperscaler demand is now a long-duration planning variable. If your business sits in the infrastructure stack, think in terms of multiyear capacity commitments and procurement cycles.
